Problem
The way we teach and the way we learn about how to manage our health is flawed, and poor health literacy leads to increased rates of mortality, chronic conditions, hospital admissions and increased health care costs. Typically the way we learn to manage our health is by doctors or nurses telling us what to do, but 40-80% of the training is forgotten. 50% of Europeans have poor health literacy, meaning they have are insuficciently trained to properly manage their health. A global ageeing demographic and an increase in chronic conditions will overburden the health care system, with an increased demand for self care, training and health care self management.
Solution
3.2 billion users in our target use cases need a better solution to learn about and to manage their health. We have built an interactive learning platform offering a unique combination of HealthTech and EdTech, more efficiently teaching and supporting end users to manage their health in cooperation with health care providers. Health personnel use Helseoversikt in their consultations to teach patients and communicate to them through the platform. Patients use the app to learn, use the tools to care for their health, and get information from the health providers. The underlying technology is built to scale globally, supporting many use cases on many languages.
